Description of Casa los Colmenares
It is a rural house in the historic town of Cuzcurrita del Río Tirón, northwest of the territory of La Rioja and located in the middle of Plaza Mayor, surrounded by buildings that, despite the passing of the centuries, retain their medieval essence intact.
The building has been transmitted from generation to generation by the Colmenares family, hence the name of the accommodation, and it is believed that its construction, in a traditional style, dates from the 18th century, being linked to the countryside and its labors and , of course, in this land dyed by vineyards, to winemaking.
Despite the artisanal reforms carried out by the owners, to adapt to the new times, this farmhouse maintains its structure intact and consists of 2 warehouses joined by a corridor that serves as dining room today.
It has 8 large double rooms decorated with antique furniture so as not to break the aesthetics of the house. All of them with double beds and bathroom independent, complete and with exterior window.
Next to the rooms, guests can make use of 2 very comfortable rooms, with sofas, television, and board games to liven up the stay. There is also a refrigerator and microwave in each of the living rooms.
A green garden with outdoor furniture complete this dream place where visitors can see first-hand, and stay, in an authentic 18th century house.
