This rural house is located in the historic center of Bedmar, an ideal place for excursions through the neighboring natural park or to enjoy the important historical heritage of this town.

It is a 16th century building that has been completely restored respecting the original architectural elements while still integrating modern aspects into the complex. It is located on a pedestrian street where children can play safely, for the peace of mind of their parents.

The house can accommodate up to 9 people spread over 5 bedrooms. One of these bedrooms is furnished with a large double bed that stands on an old wooden structure that culminates in a headboard that gives the room a special elegance. Another room is individual and is equipped with an iron headboard with discreet but ornamental filigree. The 3 remaining bedrooms are furnished with 2 single beds each, and one of them, located on the ground floor, is equipped with a fireplace.

Distributed between the 2 floors of the house are the bathrooms, one on each floor, equipped with a shower tray, hair dryer and all the necessary towels.

The house is also equipped with a fully equipped kitchen with a dining table so that guests can comfortably and quickly carry out meals and all household cleaning tasks. On the ground floor there is the living room so that guests can relax watching television or listening to music on the computer. On the first floor there is a reading room with library that is extremely comfortable and quiet and will allow guests to enjoy a book in peace.

Outside there are 2 large patios, one of them with 2 caves that originally served as a stable and pigsty, but are now empty and are the perfect place for children to play. The other patio is larger, has trees so it is ideal for walking, having outdoor barbecues and playing ball, and in summer a removable pool can be installed.

Bedmar is a small city of 2,700 inhabitants that is located east of the province of Jaén. This city has a large amount of historical heritage, such as the ruins of its old castle, a Muslim construction from the 9th century that adapts to the irregularities of the terrain. The new castle, on the other hand, was built at the beginning of the 15th century by the Order of Santiago to incorporate new defense techniques.

Near this town is the Cuadros River, which passes through an oleander forest, considered the largest in all of Europe. In this area, the oleanders form authentic trees that produce pleasant shadows along the course of the river. Along its course, the river forms pleasant pools in which to bathe and have a snack.

This river with its oleander is part of the Sierra Mágina Natural Park, a protected area that occupies more than 20,000 hectares. It is a mountainous territory about which numerous legends of spirits, witches and paranormal phenomena are told. Through this park you can take routes and excursions of various difficulties, among which is the climb to the Picture Hermitage, hidden among the rocks.
