Casa Ayrun

This rural house is located in Almogía, a town located in the Montes de Málaga, a mountain range located on the edge of the Mediterranean Sea.

If you come by car from the city of Málaga it will take you approximately 40 minutes to reach the municipality of Almogía; from Granada, it will take around an hour and a half. 

The house is located on a plot of land whose total area exceeds 5,000 square meters. The interior surface is 100 square meters distributed on a single floor, allowing a capacity for a total of 8 people. 

Even before entering the interior we can see the care with which it has been decorated: the facade, painted in white, is surrounded by pots with brightly colored flowers and has a large porch under a wooden structure and thatched roof that combines with the rural environment in which it is located. 

Entering the interior of the house we find:

• Aliving-dining room with an integrated kitchen. The living room enjoys a great luminosity thanks to the large windows that cover it and the white walls that enlarge the space. Thestone columns inside slightly separate the spaces:

• Upon entering, we find a kitchen in blue tones that has a central countertop surrounded by stools as well as all the appliances necessary for the room; Continuing the visit, there is a central wood-burning fireplace that provides a homely touch along with a large living room where there is no shortage of sofa beds nor the latest technology (television, DVD, stereo...)

• 2 double bedrooms. In each bedroom there is a double bed with simple and classic bedding that continues the blue tones of the living room and kitchen. In the bedrooms, the shelves built inside the wall that serve as a headboard stand out. 

• A bathroom. In the bathroom there is an original shower where the walls themselves act as a screen. Equally original is the sink, covered in stone.

The farm is immersed in a large space within nature where you can enjoy beautiful landscapes and do all kinds of outdoor sports, from hiking trails to bicycle rides.

Almogía is a small municipality in Malaga with less than 4,000 inhabitants that limits to the north with Antequera and to the south with the municipality of Cártama. 

Among the monuments of interest of the town, it is worth highlighting:

• The Church of Our Lady of the Assumption, built in the 16th century.

• The Hermitage of the Three Crosses, which dates back to the 18th century.

• The hermitage of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, also from the 17th century.
