Bizentenea I

This rural house is located in the small town of Zugarramurdi, in Navarra. It is a house built according to the traditional architecture of the valley and renovated to add all the modern comforts without taking away the rural and traditional charm.

Attached to our home, this house has capacity for 8 people and is divided into:

• 4 double rooms, which can be furnished with either double beds or single beds. All of them are exterior, with sober decoration and with a predominance of wood in their furniture.

• 2 complete bathrooms located in the hallway and serving all the rooms.

• A kitchen equipped with wooden furniture and marble countertops and completely renovated to include all the necessary appliances to make cooking as comfortable as possible. The appliances that will simplify your life during your stay are the following: refrigerator, ceramic hob, oven or microwave, among others that you will find throughout your stay. Being a wide room we have placed a dining table.

• A living-dining room equipped with comfortable furniture that allows relaxation and rest in the shelter of the fireplace while reading, listening to music or watching television. The armchairs and sofas are arranged in front of the television and fireplace, leaving a small table and a larger one right next to it.

• An outdoor terrace furnished with an outdoor table and chairs and a barbecue to enjoy succulent meals outdoors.

In addition, the house is equipped with:

• Heating so it can be used at any time of the year.

• Documentation about the area to plan your stay well.

• Internet access to always be connected to the networks.

Zugarramurdi is a town whose population is around 225 inhabitants, which is located in the Baztán region. This town is famous for its witches, who met in the Zugarramurdi Cave, a series of caves and galleries produced by the erosion of the Olabidea stream or stream of hell. Today this cave is open to the public and presents a great geological spectacle, in addition to holding a feast of roast rams in August.

TheBaztán Valley is enclosed between the Pyrenean mountains that presents a spectacle of meadows and forests of beech, oak and ash trees, the latter especially next to the river. The inhabitants of this valley, which can be seen if the walker is silent, are the roe deer, the squirrels and recently the coypu, a South American mammal similar to the beaver that entered Spain through a French farm.

Very close to this area you can see the Urdax Caves, an extraordinary display of stalactites and stalagmites that was formed thanks to the erosion of the Urtxume River. These caves were used in times past by smugglers and guerrillas and the legends about them contribute to giving them a sense of otherworldliness.
