Description of Albergue Rural Tejanegra
Our rural hostel is located outside of Campillo de Ranas, a municipality located in the northwest area of the province of Guadalajara.
Specifically, we are at the heart of the Sierra Norte de Guadalajara, a landscape where you will get in touch with nature and you will be filled with overwhelming peace.
You will find the hostel with ease, since its façade draws attention at first glance: is built with slate slabs and surrounded by brightly colored flowers.
The interior of the hostel can accommodate a maximum of 62 guests, which makes it a perfect option to go with large groups of friends.
We have multiple rooms with 5, 6, 8 and 10 seats, in addition to attic rooms with bathroom where they can accommodate from 2 to 4 people.

In the common areas, you will have access to:
- Social Hall. This beautiful room is located under a high ceiling and is surrounded by large windows for light to penetrate the interior. Divided into several heights, in the center is a fireplace that generates a homely and welcoming atmosphere. Around the fireplace, there are sofas from where to warm up on winter days. Distributed in several points of the room you will find several armchairs with views to the outside, as well as dining tables to enjoy table games or have an aperitif.
- Dining room In this room you can enjoy homemade food prepared in the hostel, made with natural products from the area.
- Garden with pool. The hostel has ample garden spaces to take walks, read a book, or relax listening to music. To cope with the high temperatures, it also has a summer pool.

The environment in which we find ourselves is perfect to practice outdoor sports for all tastes:
- The trekking fans can choose between routes of varying difficulty: from soft walks between lush forests, to more daring paths, such as the one that ascends to the top of the Ocejón, which is more than 2,000 meters high.
- If you prefer the mountain bike, we recommend you to get closer to the Mayaelrayo Valley, where you will find gentle trails without great difficulty.
- To practice canyoning, you can go to the Jaramill River or the Arroyo del Soto.
- If you are more than parapente, in the Sierra del Ocejón, flights of different heights are practiced.
