Peal del Becerro (Jaén) is a municipality located between the Guadalquivir and Guadiana Menor rivers. In addition, it is an entrance to the Natural Park of the Sierra de Cazorla.
It is a city of Iberian origin in which there are some vestiges of this ancient way of life, such as the Sepulchral Chamber of Toya. Among its archaeological remains there are also Phoenicians, Greeks and Romans.
The Torre del Reloj and the Torre de Mocha were part of a medieval castle built in the 14th century. Both towers and the remains of the castle were declared assets of cultural interest in 1985.
The Roman aqueduct with double arches of Hornos de Peal remains a mystery to this day, since not much has been investigated about its origin although it is deduced that it is Roman. It is approximately 10 meters long.
