O Forno do Curro

This rural accommodation is perfect for mountain lovers. Located in O Curro, Orense, it belongs to the municipality of Boborás. It is a rural area with 3 apartments and 1 room adapted for people with reduced mobility.
It has a rustic style, closely linked to old Galician decoration, stone predominating and combining very well with wood and wrought iron. This setting is due to the fact that the farm was once a farmhouse, and proof of this are the granaries that you can see outside.

The property has a large garden area, with greenery as the protagonist. The front part is planted with grass and decorated with antique objects, matching the rest of the house. There are numerous trees that provide ideal shade for spending time outdoors. On the other side of the garden, and separated by the cobbled path that crosses the entire patio, is the pool. It is on a sunny plot and surrounded by hammocks. There are also several tables and chairs for guest use.

Closer to the accommodation there is a large solid stone table, with matching benches, where you can have a pleasant snack. All framed by the lawn, the stone path and beautiful arches with wooden beams, which promote the country air that emanates from the place.

Without a doubt, as you can see, the exteriors are the strong point of the accommodation. They are cared for to the maximum and decorated with detail and care. There are also barbecues and wood ovens, useful for gatherings of friends or family meals. We take care of supplying the necessary firewood.

However, the interior does not detract from the idyllic exteriors. The house inside follows the same rustic personality as the facade and the patio. The cobbled walls are combined with other smooth ones painted in colors, perfectly combined with each other. The furniture is of the same style, where wood is the main protagonist.

Proof of the carefulness of the decoration are the windows: they are new but chosen in wood, just like the rest of the house, even with shutters. The ceiling also stands out, despite having been renovated, it retains the white background and the original beams.

There are large dining rooms inside, with long tables so large groups can gather. In the kitchen we have installed everything that will surely be useful when you start cooking. Theappliances are covered in wood so as not to lose the line of the accommodation, with a good utility countertop.

In addition, the house has the following services:

• There is internet, with Wi-Fi that reaches the entire accommodation.
• Given the location, all apartments have heating to improve the comfort of clients.
• We give the option of placing a crib, in case you decide to travel and stay with small children.
• We put at your disposal several board games, to spend time inside the house, and bicycles, in case you prefer to walk around the area.
• In case it is a long stay, there is a laundry service.
• For those who like the countryside we have an organic garden.

The town of Boborás has a wide range of things to visit. For example, the Romanesque churches of Arenteiro, Cameixa, Moho or Asturenses are worth seeing, as well as the medieval bridges of the region.

The Brues hot springs offer visitors a magnificent option to relax.  Not only is it an optimal place to de-stress, but it also has wonderful properties for your health and, above all, for your skin.

The enclave where our house is located is extraordinary. It is in the O Carballiño region, about 500 meters high. The location is precisely in a flatter part, a kind of terrace that rests between mountains of the Testeiro mountain range. 

The landscape is adorned with the Cardelle and Lodairo rivers. Both form a valley around some forested mountains and incredible cliffs.
