This rural house is located in the neighborhood of Zozaia, in the center of the Valley of Baztán, north of the Navarrese Pyrenees. This house of great proportions, built in stone and wood, is a typical hamlet of the architecture of the region.
Distributed in 2 independent homes that can be rented either together or separately, has a total capacity of 18 seats. The decoration of the house blends with the rural atmosphere of the place and integrates typical elements of the area, such as farming tools.
Each of the 2 apartments consists of:
The houses are equipped with heating and hot water throughout the year, highly necessary facilities in the north of Spain. Both houses have balconies that allow you to contemplate the fabulous views that can be seen of the valley and the neighborhood.
In addition, the 2 houses have access to the garden, elongated and narrow but provided with outdoor furniture and a barbecue wood with fireplace in which to make grills and paellas to enjoy this rural experience to the fullest.

Sourroundings of Matxingonea I y II
The valley of Baztán, in whose heart this rural house is located, is characterized for having been land of Indians and hidalgos who reformed the valley after making fortune in the americas. As a result, in this valley the palaces and hamlets with large balconies abound, the medieval bridges over the rivers and the monasteries. That does not take into account the natural architecture that make up the dense forests and natural caves, such as the caves of Urdax.
Witches, pilgrims and smugglers also left their mark on these forests, as evidenced by the path of the witches, the Way of St. James and the path of the smugglers, which penetrates the aforementioned caves, and which are simple and pleasant routes by which do hiking.
For more difficult excursions, it is convenient to go to the Pyrenean mountains that surround this valley.
