Description of Las Médulas II
This house that we present below is rural in style. We are located in the surroundings of the municipality of Campañana, belonging to the province of León.
It is a country house made of stone and wood, with 2 floors, of which this accommodation occupies the first floor and the attic.
We have an accommodation capacity of 4-5 people, distributed in 2 double rooms. Of these bedrooms, one of them has a double bed with the possibility of an extra bed. The other room has 2 single beds and an extra bed. Being on the upper floor, the ceilings of both are attic.
There is a daily supplement per person for accommodation of more than 4 people.
We have an extra bed available.
The kitchen has appliances - such as a microwave, coffee maker or refrigerator - and kitchenware as well as supplies.
On this floor there is also a bathroom, which has a bathtub and a set of towels for each guest.
There is the possibility of parking the vehicle inside the property.

Room 2 was very small, room 3 was bigger, nicer and somewhat cleaner, although the refrigerator, dishes and oven were dirty and we had to clean them.
It says they have a barbecue, a lie, they don't have one. They send you a message saying that there is Wi-Fi, also a lie, there is none. When we tell him he tells us there isn't any but then yes, if you go to the terrace (another lie) you can get wifi but the signal never appears.
To make matters worse, after a while the very aggressive owner called us because he was offended by us telling him that the house was not what he said it was and that it was dirty, he demanded payment or that we leave right away... When we told him that we had already made the payment for house 3, the smoke went down.
Very beautiful place but never again with this house and these owners.
House 3 was offered to them long before their arrival in case they were interested, indicating that it was much larger and that it had a slightly higher price of €10/day. It is not true that we offered it to them when they protested, but rather that we did so before their arrival.
On the other hand, the photos published on the portal they booked (house 2) faithfully reflect the accommodation, the property and the surroundings of Las Médulas and the Lake. I don't understand how you can guess if they are mixed without seeing the other accommodations. It is normal for an accommodation to publish photos of the surroundings, but if it bothers you we apologize.
We already told them before their arrival that there was no barbecue. This is because there used to be one and its use was recently prohibited because it is a protected area. The reference on this portal from which you booked had not yet been removed and for that we apologize. In any case, we do not understand why he would make a comment to that effect when he already knew it.
On the other hand, the advertisement could not state that there was WIFI, because it was installed last week. They were told that there was coverage on the porch on the ground floor but in their eagerness to criticize they did not care and indicated that they were not going to go to that porch because it was cold (the temperature was checked and it was 22 degrees).
We do not understand how some people, when they arrive at an establishment, instead of enjoying it, they dedicate themselves to looking for details to criticize. In the end this attitude makes us think that they intended to pay less. And they got it, because they were in house 3 without paying the additional fee.
Regarding cleanliness, I think the comment is exaggerated because in the middle of nature it is likely that there will be some spider webs. And there were some crumbs in the oven and toaster, it's true.
It is also true that the property demanded the remaining payment, but they had to have done it upon arrival or before according to the conditions of the portal where they booked.
In any case, we are sorry that your stay was not to your liking and we will try to improve.

The Médulas belong to the Bierzo region, a natural landscape that is part of the Montes de León.
It is one of the most important mining remains of the Roman Empire with a characteristic environment that has been achieved through hydraulic engineering, coming from the waters of Lake Carucedo to be able to extract gold.
