Lar de Vilariño

Our rural house is located on the outskirts of Poio, a Pontevedra town very close to the beach.

It consists of a large building, a construction that dates back to the 18th century. With so much history behind it, the restoration has been carried out respecting the original materials and the characteristic personality of the house. Its façade features large rocks forming the walls, dotted with windows of different sizes and balconies.

It has different heights, because the land where it is located has some slope. In total, the capacity is 12 people, including 2 additional beds.

It has 5 bedrooms, all with double beds, but each one with a different decoration, united by common elements, such as wood. The headboards stand out, with different designs and in different materials. For example, one of them has fur, while another is painted white or has a canopy with romantic falling curtains. On some of its walls the masonry is still preserved, combining it with plain colors and light tones.

In each room there is an interior bathroom, unique for each one.

The living room and dining room are located in a room at 2 levels, to separate the rooms:

• On one side is theliving room, with beige 2-seater sofas and dark wood furniture, like a display case.
• At the other end is the dining room, equipped with tables and chairs upholstered with dark leather, matching the rest of the room.

There is also a kitchen, where you will find everything you need, including dishwasher to make your vacation as comfortable as possible.

Outside, we have a great enclosure, located on a hill, with a pool and hammocks, from where you will see the entire landscape. In addition, you can also use our barbecue.

Being so close to the sea, there are a lot of things you can do around it.

For example, you can travel by boat to the Island of Ons, one of the islands that make up the archipelago declared a Natural Park.

Combarro is a nearby parish, known for its beautiful beaches and its historical heritage, full of old granaries and typical Galician cruises.

In Poio itself you can also see other places, such as the Poio monastery. It is a great representation of the Romanesque, but it is not only attractive for its architecture, but it also has a large library inside.

It is clear that the Rías Baixas are a main element of our accommodation, due to their proximity. Each one of them is worth visiting, as are the beaches they form at their mouths.
