La Fragua (Villanueva De Gómez)

The rural house was an old dovecote and forge belonging to a blacksmith from the town where it is located, Villanueva de Gómez. 

The rural accommodation has been renovated since its purchase. It has 2 floors, is full rental and has the capacity to accommodate 10 people. 

On the ground floor of the property we find the living-dining room, kitchen, a bedroom, a bathroom and a backyard.

The living-dining room and the kitchen are located in the same open-plan area. 

Theliving-dining room has 2 sofas with 2 seats each, a wooden table with 6 chairs. The room has several windows that make the room very bright. Also in one corner of the room there is a wood-burning fireplace on a stone column. As a peculiarity, it should be noted that in the living room there is akaraoke for the entertainment of guests.

The kitchen is very organized, but has the necessary appliances: refrigerator, freezer, oven, dishwasher, microwave... Kitchenware and dishes are also included. It has access to the backyard of the rural house.

The room on the ground floor is adapted for the disabled. The bedroom is double, with a double bed. 

The bathroom on this floor is also adapted for the disabled. 

On the upper floor we find the rest of the rooms, which are 4 in total, and another bathroom.

The 4 rooms are double and have a double bed. All the rooms are exterior and being on this last floor they are all attic. A bathroom serves this floor. 

Outside the walls of the house, we find a backyard that is accessed through the kitchen. Here is located the barbecue and different garden furniture that furnish it and ping pong.

Other aspects of the house that we cannot fail to mention are:

• The house has heating with a diesel boiler.
• There is a room and a bathroom fully adapted for the handicapped.

The rural house is located inVillanueva de Gómez, a town that is crossed by the Camino de Santiago.

In addition, the town is located in the heart of nature, since it has 900 hectares of thickets. For lovers of birds of prey, the Imperial Eagle lives in our forests. 

As for monuments, the ruins of our Church stand out. 

If what you prefer is some sport, in the town there are facilities such as ping-pong table and paddle tennis court.

The closest towns are Arévalo and the World Heritage city itself, Ávila. 

Arévalo is characterized by its Mudejar art, while Ávila is known for its Walls from the 11th-14th century. What they have in common, along with Villanueva de Gómez, is gastronomy. We recommend trying the suckling pig or the beef steak.
