La Calceta

Our rural accommodation is located in the town of Santa Olaja de la Vega.

We have a ethnographic museum.

You can host 6 people, the house has 2 floors and has been renovated, since it was formerly dedicated to agriculture.

We have 3 bedrooms, all of them very wide:

• 2 bedrooms with a marriage bed and decorated with bedside tables and other furniture such as hanger.
• A room with 2 individual beds, with heating and very bright.

In the kitchen you have all the appliances that you can need: dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, etc. and the rest of the household. In addition to a wooden table with chairs where you can sit to eat or chat.

The dining room has furniture for decoration as tables (auxiliaries and tables for eating), chairs, armchairs, chimney brick, television, DVD, etc.

On the outside we have a patio that extends throughout 100m2, with barbecue, a water well, a cenor and all the necessary furniture.

Very close to the house you will find a small own garden.

the Museum

1. School

With the school we have tried to rebuild a Spanish 50-60 school, where all the furniture was made of wood and was written with pen and a inkwell.

Also the "heating" of the time, which were nothing but heater that worked with firewood and each student had to carry their own.

    2. Workshops

You can perform different workshops, such as a natural soap, cookies or bread.

3. Visit

You can also visit the museum with a guided tour and we will project documentaries that will help you better understand how it was lived at the time.

Near our town you can visit the following places:

• Villa Romana La Olmeda. An archaeological quarry, located in Pedrosa de la Vega. It is believed that dates from the 1st and II centuries.
• Saldaña, a town at 4 km, with a very beautiful factory, made of brick. Also the main square of the 10th century.
• You can also visit other places such as the Roman Villa de la Tejada or Los Picos de Europa.
• Aguilar del Campoo, where you can visit the town, its museums of the town or the hermitage.

Palencia and Santa Olaja de la Vega are located at 67km one of the other. In the province the Dársena of the Canal de Castilla is famous, or you can also visit its churches and other religious constructions.
