La Calceta

Our rural accommodation is located in the village of Santa Olaja de la Vega.

We have a ethnographic museum.

You can host 6 people, the house has 2 floors and has been renovated, since it was formerly used for agriculture.

We have 3 rooms, all of them very spacious:

• 2 rooms with double bed and decorated with bedside tables and other furniture as perchero.
• A room with 2 single beds, with heating and very bright.

In the kitchen you have all the appliances you could need: dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, etc. and the rest of household items. In addition to a wooden table with chairs where you can sit down to eat or chat.

The living room has furniture for decoration such as tables (chairs and tables to eat), chairs, armchairs, chimney brick, TV, DVD, etc.

Outside we have a patio that extends along 100m2, with barbecue, un water well, a arbor and all the necessary furniture.

Very close to the house you will find a small own garden.

Possibility of:

• Cradle if necessary.

* Pets are allowed and we offer a doghouse.



The museum

1. School

With the school we have tried to rebuild a Spanish school of the 50-60s, where all the furniture was made of wood and it was written with a pen and an inkwell.

Also the "heating" of the time, which were nothing but heaters that worked with firewood and each student had to carry their own.

2. Workshops

You can perform different workshops, such as a natural soap, cookies or bread.

3. Visit

You can also visit the museum with a guided tour and we will show you documentaries that will help you to better understand how people lived at the time.

Near our town you can visit the following places:

• Villa Romana la Olmeda. An archaeological quarry, located in Pedrosa de la Vega. It is believed to date back to the 1st and 2nd centuries.
• Saldaña, a village at 4 km, with a very beautiful factory, made of brick. Also the main square of the X century.
• You can also visit other places such as the Roman Villa de la Tejada or the Picos de Europa.
• Aguilar del Campoo, where you can visit La Villa, its museums of the Villa or the Ermita.

Palencia and Santa Olaja de la Vega are located 67km from each other. In the province is famous the Dársena of the Canal de Castilla, or you can also visit its churches and other religious buildings.
