The Rural House is a traditional Caserío located in the town of Etxalar, amended in 2017 and with an estimated seniority in the seventeenth century. Its facade, of ancient and traditional style in the area, is red wood, adorned with grape parra.

Can host 12 people (10 guests plus availability of 2 places as added).

Inside we find:

• 5 bedrooms: 3 with marriage bed and 2 double bedrooms
• 2 supplementary beds
• 2 bathrooms, one of them quite wide and with easy access
• A cradle
• cuisine with chimney and recourse
• game room children
• 2 rooms with television

In addition, there is a great terrace with furniture and with views of Etxalar and the mountains that surround it, with access from the kitchen.

It is necessary to know that pets are not admitted and that there is an Internet connection ( wifi ).

On the occasion of keeping the origins of the house alive, a large part of the furniture has been preserved, such as rooms, beams, wooden floor and dishes.

It is a unique opportunity to stay in a lovely and calm house, and thus enjoy a rest stay in a privileged environment: in full Navarro Pyrenees, characterized by its mountains and green meadows.

Etxalar is located north of Navarra, as well as the peoples of Bera and Sara. To the south is Bertizarana, to the east the Baztan Valley and to the west Igantzi and Lesaka.

The house is found in the Bidasoa area, characterized by its green meadows and beech forests, frequently accompanied by a fine rain.
Etxalar is close to the tximist regatta, tributary of the Bidasoa, offering amount of streams and spectacular views towards the mountains around him.

The mountaineers are in luck if they visit this town, since it presents numerous trails in their territory. Among them:

• Mountain and crossings: possibility of climbing to the top of Azkua and Atxuria, with outstanding panoramic ones.
• "The Pyrenees path": between Elizondo and Bera/Lesaka, a journey without great difficulties, although with little signaling.
• Thematic trails or walks: simpler and without the need for great physical effort. For example, the "Argarata-Sta Krutz", which runs around the town, the "usathegieta" and the "infernuko errota", crossing the forest to a flour mill.

It is a unique opportunity to make group visits and go through the landscapes in which the writer Pío Baroja was set to create his adventures.

And if you like hunting, " Las Palomeras " is an ethxalar's own modality to hunt pigeons with networks, already used in the Middle Ages. This tradition is that a group of 13 people direct the pigeons to be hunted in the networks.

You can also approach Zugarramurdi and visit the Las Brujas Museum, or in Urdax El Monastery and Molino, as well as the Bertiz Palace and the Romanesque Bridge of Reparation in Oieregi.
