Casa Rural El Hornillo

This rural house is located in the province of Huelva, more specifically in the small town of Cortegana. The rural complex to which this house belongs is located within the Montefrío farm, which is specialized in agrotourism.

This means that you will be able to participate in the different activities necessary to start a farm, which range from milking certain animals, such as goats, to collecting fruits and vegetables from the garden.

The house is a single-story building and has 2 double bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with 2 single beds, so it can accommodate 4 people. In addition, the house has the following rooms:

• 2 full bathrooms, one of them adapted for people with reduced mobility.

• A living room with a table where you can enjoy copious breakfasts and meals and furnished with a comfortable sofa ideal for relaxing and from which you can watch your favorite movies and those of the children on the television and the DVD player or where you can fall asleep in front of the heat of the fireplace.

• A kitchen equipped with everything you need to make your stay more comfortable. Among the appliances in the kitchen are a refrigerator to preserve the farm's products, a microwave to make quick meals and a stove to be able to make succulent dishes with local products.

• A terrace from which you can contemplate the natural park and where you can have breakfast peacefully watching the natural awakening.

The house also has central heating to spend the colder seasons with peace of mind.

Outside the house there is a private pool where children can play and enjoy the water.
On the farm we have a space reserved for a farm. In it you can from feed the goats to see how we raise the pigs. The Sierra de Aracena and Picos de Aroche Natural Park is characterized by an immense production of acorns, as it is mainly populated by holm oaks and cork oaks, which leads to the breeding of the Iberian pig. In addition to this animal, birds such as the black stork and the kite can be seen in the Park, protected species that are not easy to find in any ecosystem.

In addition to taking different routes through the Natural Park, you can go visit the town of Cortegana, to which the farm belongs. The main building of this place is the Castle, which dates back to the end of the 13th century and was built as part of the defensive line located on the border with Portugal.

Other buildings worth seeing in this city are the Parish Church, which mixes different artistic styles from the 14th to the 19th century, and another Mudejar style church built in the 14th century.
