Casa Martinezker II

Our house is located in the north of Navarra, specifically in the municipality of Ochagavia.

It is an accommodation in the purest traditional northern style, with its stone and white façade that blends perfectly into the mountain landscape.

The kitchen is joined to the living-dining room. It is an open space that allows you to be cooking while you are with your loved ones. The furniture is completely made of wood and you will find appliances and kitchenware enough to allow you to prepare delicious dishes.

The living room is made up of 2 large checkered sofas, they are very comfortable, so you can sit or lie down to rest. Right next to it is a large rectangular table with capacity for all the inhabitants of the house.

An elongated hallway gives you access to the rooms. There are a total of 4, 3 of them have 2 single beds and the remaining bedroom has a double bed. They all have simple decoration, with wooden furniture and blankets in light colors. We have added a desk under the large windows, there are built-in wardrobes to store all your belongings and as we have already mentioned, the sloping ceilings become the protagonists of these beautiful rooms.

There are 2 bathrooms, both with bathtub with screen. In addition to a large countertop with the sink and toilet. In one of the bathrooms we have included a washing machine so you can have all your clothes ready during your stay.

We have a room called Txoco. It is a large area with a kitchen and dining tables that we prepare when a large group that stays in the two houses visits us. Here you can all get together for lunch or dinner and have fun meetings.

The exterior of the house is very green and very well cared for. A garden with its stone patio in which there is a table and chairs, also has a barbecue. All this is common for both houses. A very usable area in good weather seasons.

We are in the town of Ochagavia which is surrounded by endless mountains and green areas that add a lot of beauty to the landscape. The Salazar Valley with its river is the protagonist of this beautiful picture. Apart from getting to know the area where you are staying, visiting its streets and for example the hermitage of Nuestra Señora de Muskilda, you can move through countless places full of magic. 

Our first stop will be Roncesvalles which has a lot of the Camino de Santiago, whether in religious monuments such as the church of Santiago, or in civil monuments, such as the mysterious Itzandeguía pilgrim hostel. 

If we continue our route we can, and continuing with the mystery, we head to Zugarramurdi. Here its famous caves take center stage. This is the place where it is said that witchcraft was practiced a long time ago. A place that will take you to know interesting stories as well as contemplate the beauty of this underground world. 

Finally, we recommend that you visit the northern desert, the Bardenas Reales. A place full of clay and sandy soils in which vegetation is not the protagonist, rather the absence of it is what makes the place one of the beauties of Navarra.
