Chantada is one of the best kept secrets of inland Galicia, with a deep and beautiful valley dedicated since time immemorial to wine-growing activities, the Ribera Sacra region has known how to recycle itself from an eminently agrarian rural environment into one of the favorite tourist destinations not only in the province of Lugo, but also in the national territory in general.
This area is full of activities and highly attractive points of interest for foreign visitors, who can dedicate themselves to exploring its many hiking trails for the simple pleasure of enjoying the wonderful, almost wildly natural landscape in which the vines of its great wines, although you can also take tours of the various monuments belonging to the route of the beautiful Romanesque Route.
There are some places that are not very well known, such as the Cabo del Mundo, which despite its name is located on the banks of the Miño in one of its most spectacular meanders. Another of the treasures related to these magical waters is the Castro de Candaz, an ancient pre-Roman settlement that appears in the months with less water influx of the Belesar reservoir.
