Casa Carreño

The Casa Carreño rural accommodation is located in the Principality of Asturias, in a town called Espinaredo.

This town house has been recently renovated to function as a 2-story tourist home, which has, for the 5 occupants, all the comforts that may be required for a construction of these characteristics.

Its main rooms are the following:

• A kitchen that combines two eras and ways of cooking, preserving in it the coal stove, typical of the oldest times and, on the other hand, a modern glass-ceramic in case we do not fully control the other. It is an elongated kitchen in which the appliances necessary for everyday life are distributed under the countertop. In the center of the room there is a very large dining table made of wood, with chairs made of the same material and accompanied by the cupboard, where you will find some of the tableware that is available to our guests.

• A living room in which several environments are differentiated; On the one hand, the leisure and rest area that focuses interest on the fireplace with a brick covering and a wooden shelf on which different decorative elements such as paintings or candles rest. Next to it, an old but restored dark wood piece of furniture supports the plasma television for which we wanted to add a DVD player. In front of all this, there is the sofa and several armchairs. Finally, the other room consists of two wing chairs with a central stretcher table that invites reading and relaxation.

• A fully equipped bathroom in which you will find both sets of towels for each occupant of the house, as well as the modern equipment you may need.

• 2 bedrooms of which; one consists of two single beds but quite spacious that are also made up of two headboards made of treated wood; tables on both sides and, at the back of the room and under the window, an antique rocking chair. The other room consists of adouble bedperfectly equipped with bedding; a side table and two-door wooden wardrobe, thus combining the materials used in the furniture with that present on the ceiling, where the beams are visible. It is possible to add an extra bed and cribs in addition to a bathtub with changing table being available in case there is a baby.

• Finally, a living room that functions as a distributor in the rest area and is the perfect place to sit and rest or enjoy a good book or a good chat in the privacy of this cozy area.

Theexteriorsof the house are made up of the two terraces which are located one on each of the floors of the house and where you will find outdoor furniture such as chairs, rocking chairs and tables.

Theseplaces we are referring to are:

• The Infierno River, at its source, in an environment that leaves an unparalleled natural setting, with native fauna and flora that grows along its length and width where you will find waterfalls and areas of streams among others.

• TheChurch of Santa María de las Nieves, a religious construction that dates back several centuries and that has lived in its walls the history of Espinaredo, having to be rebuilt on several occasions until it became what can be seen today. It is located right in the center of town so you can't get lost.
