Albergue Palo de Avellano

This seasonal shelter, located in the Navarra town of Zubiri, has everything necessary to offer a pleasant stay to pilgrims who perform the way of Santiago Francés, restaurant included. All reservations include breakfast in the price. 

The house, reformed in 2009, has a exterior garden and free parking, as well as additional services of interest for any pilgrim as a reserve for backpack transfer, laundry service or rental of sheets and towels.

This type of accommodation allows the possibility of meeting other travelers in a unique common experience and exchanging impressions as your own trip progresses. The living room with fireplace, the common areas or the daily dinner service of the shelter in their restaurant multiply the options of making new friends, whether you do the way on foot and by bicycle. 

In the common areas of the house travelers can relax and meet other guests.  But also, if they prefer, they have accommodation and n private rooms with their own bathroom, with free wifi included throughout the establishment.  Next, you can check the different accommodation options. • literas in multiple room: 40 seats distributed in 5 rooms with shared bathroom and breakfast included in the price. 

• individual bed in multiple room: If you prefer a bed separately, the shelter offers ten options distributed in five multiple rooms.

• double room: The hostel ofred two double rooms available for those pilgrims who prefer to enjoy a quieter stay after finishing the stage of the day. It has its own bath. 

• quadruple room: For those families with children this option is ideal to finish the corresponding stage. The room has a small area of ​​being with flat screen TV and its own bathroom included to facilitate family organization and a more comfortable stay.

This municipality, one of the stops of the Camino de Santiago Francés is famous for its medieval bridge and its skewers, which will delight all travelers at the end of the stage corresponding to the Camino de Santiago Francés. 
 
Those travelers who prolong their stay in the town, will be able to visit Pamplona, ​​less than 30 minutes by car of the town or take advantage of the close natural environment that borders the Arga River to discover the best hiking routes in the area. 

The pilgrims who come to the town of the first week of August, can also enjoy the festivities in honor of San Esteban.
