Description of Albergue Izar
Our hostel is located at Viana, a beautiful town of Navarra which is one of the stars of the Way of the Stars of Santiago.
It is a large building fully equipped and prepared to offer maximum comfort to our visitors and pilgrims. We have a capacity for 36 people. The rent is made by single bed but you can also choose one of our double rooms.

- A communal room with 9 bunk beds that is characterized by its amplitude and luminosity. Accounts with storage space to store clothes and the rest of your belongings. You will not have space problems.
- 2 rooms composed of 4 bunk beds where you can sleep comfortably as our beds measure up to 2 meters long.
- Double rooms with 2 single beds fully furnished with bedside tables, cabinets and auxiliary furniture that guarantee the comfort of the guest.
- shared use bathroom with several showers and sinks to avoid unnecessary waiting.
- Kitchen - dining room fully equipped with the appliances that you may need to cook as you would at home such as refrigerator, dishwasher and vitroceramic. It is a very large room where you will find several tables and chairs so you can eat in a group and meet the rest of the hostel guests. It is one of the main meeting points.
- vending area, in case you need to snack something between meals or you fancy a snack before eating.
- Laundry area with washer and dryer so you do not miss anything.

Sourroundings of Albergue Izar
Our accommodation is located at Viana, one of the Navarran towns that constitute the Camino de las Estrellas, since we are part of the Camino de Santiago. We are in a privileged natural place that allows you to know several places of tourist interest just a few kilometers, such as:
- Helmet - historical Viana, runs through its streets of regular and rectangular because it was created as a fortified square. its old town was declared a Historic - Artistic Site, of which we highlight the church of Santa María de la Asunción. As a curiosity, we point out the amount of wineries that are found in the basements of some houses, although they are not usually visited.
- The megalithic sepulchral chamber of Longar, its origin is uncertain although it is believed to belong to 2850 a. C. Its importance resides in that it is one of the few prehistoric tombs that are conserved in such a good state.
- The route of César Borgia, ending at where César Borgia died in 1507. The remains of this character are still on the exterior of the church of Santa Maria, Renaissance style.
