Description of Campos de Vilance
Our rural apartments are in a small village, Vilance-Balboa, within the territory of Monterroso, typical population a little isolated from Galicia.
It is a large house, which was once used for farming. Great care has been taken, so the restoration was done with care, in order to preserve the essence of this building. That is why the stone has remained the protagonist, but without forgetting the wood, traditional materials that constitute the personality of the aesthetics.
The house is distributed in several levels, adaptándose the land. For that, you can see a porch, where there is a cute wooden bench. A striking gallery extends over it, also made of wood, with beautiful beams and balustrades. In addition, there are pots everywhere, filling it all with flowers and color.
Next to this area, there is the interior patio, flooring with large slabs. Around it the different houses are structured. What we offer our guests are 4 apartments, all for a maximum of 6 people. This type of accommodation will allow you to lead an independent life, counting on your own kitchen and your own bathroom.
These apartments are rented one by one, but if you are a large group, you can reserve several o or even the whole complex.
The outside is a gem, first because of the area we are in, but also because we take our garden very seriously. In addition to the inner courtyard already mentioned, we have a green zone that extends in front of the main entrance. But it does not end here, because on one side of the house we have a large grove, a lovely space to walk through our meadow.
If you wish, you can also contract another series of common spaces in case you want to use them. They are wonderful rooms, very careful and unique:

Thirty-two years ago I arrived with my family to Monterroso. In our tours of this region of Ulloa, we were amazed by the beauty of these lands.
We also saw that there were very nice stone houses that were falling and we came up with the idea of buying one of these houses in ruins, restoring it and dedicating it to rural tourism.
We wanted to share with travelers the discovery of a very little known area at that time.
Years later, I am quadriplegic and I can not leave my house. From my computer I manage the house and I get in touch with the travelers.
And in the house, our guests are served by Reme, the person in charge. She is a wonderful person, in love with her work that makes our guests feel at home.

Our apartments are ideal for families with children. The apartments are spacious and comfortable, well equipped, and we have a large meadow where children can play safely because the house is closed around its perimeter.
But our house is especially suitable for groups of up to 28 people, because in addition to the four apartments, we have what we call common area, que consists of a kitchen, a dining room and a room prepared for use by the groups that visit us. And all this on the Camino de Santiago, practically in the center of Galicia, and with many small excursions and activities near our house.

We are close to the Ribeira Sacra, of great scenic and artistic interest.
It is also very close to the Pambre Castle, one of the few castles that can be found in Galicia. La Fraga de Catasós and the Sobreiral de Arnego are two natural spaces of great beauty. 5 km away is the A Peneda river pool. And up to several hiking trails. We are 39 km from Lugo and 50 from Santiago de Compostela.

Galicia is a treasure, both natural and historical, and we are pretty focused on location, so it is perfect to get to know the community. In addition, the Camino de Santiago passes very close, which also gives us much more variety of visitors, who all leave a small footprint.
Monterroso is the nearest town, which offers basic services. But there is also, for example, A Peneda, a bathing area on the River Ulla. It also has a picnic area and other areas for leisure.
