Description of Posada Cabaña Real de Carreteros
This rural house is located in the town of Casarejos, province of Soria. The house is built, respecting the original materials of clay, stone and wood, on the frame of a carter house built in the 18th century.
The inn has a capacity of 28 people located in 14 rooms and is distributed as follows:
On the ground floor there is the reception, for guests to register; the living room, equipped with television and comfortable sofas to relax and unwind, board games to spend the evenings, fireplace in front of which to sit and read; a small library with books of all kinds and a piano for music lovers; and the restaurant, where you can enjoy succulent dishes from the area. In the original house, on this floor was the stable for the oxen where the carts were also kept.
The first floor houses 8 double rooms that surround a central railing from which you can see the whole house. All the rooms are named after towns in the region. On this floor you can also find the kitchen, where the traditional basket fireplace or pine wood fireplace of the time has been preserved.
The second floor, which formerly housed the hayloft, has been rehabilitated to contain 6 attic rooms.
In the area of the house where the corral was originally located, a terrace-garden has been built with wrought iron furniture and surrounded by a stone wall covered with vegetation of all kinds.

Among the routes that can be made through these areas, the Lobos River Canyon stands out, a natural area formed by the passage of water from this river. Located less than 10 kilometers from the inn, this route follows the course of the River Lobos to Templar hermitage and Cueva de la Galiana Alta.
Around the inn there are also the Picos de Urbión, very close to the source of the river Duero, in whose heart is the black lagoon, embedded in the granite walls of these mountains and surrounded by pine forests that they give it the dark aspect that the name gives it.
