Description of Casa Pepa
Our unique and cozy rural hotel is located in the town of Santa Coloma de Somoza, in the province of León, where you will be able to enjoy rural tourism in the heart of the Maragatería.
The building where we are located is an authentic restored house,, and respecting both its original layout and the materials with which it was built.
The available rooms are a total of 6 rooms, five of them double and one triple.
The double rooms, ideal for couples with or without children, and consist of a double bed or two single beds, with capacity for two people, and there is the possibility of requesting an extra bed , always upon prior request , expanding to three people its capacity.
The triple room includes three single beds, with capacity for three people, designed for small groups of people who want to enjoy the area or for those who are doing the Camino de Santiago.
In this room with three single beds, and like in the double rooms, there is the possibility of adding an extra bed, with a total capacity for four people.
All the rooms include their own bathroom and free Wi-Fi connection.
In our common areas you can enjoy our dining room with fireplace, and in our own restaurant, you can taste our typical meals, highlighting the famous dish of the area: the cocido maragato.
You will also have a beautiful patio maragato where you can have coffee, wine or where you can relax outdoors.

Thanks to our situation, in the municipality of Santa Coloma de Somoza, we are located very close to Astorga, about a 15-minute drive, known as , capital of Maragatería, where you can visit its imposing Cathedral, dedicated to Santa María, or a few steps from it, the Palacio Gaudí, built by Gaudí, as his own name indicates, between the years 1889 and 1915 in a neo-Gothic style.
Approximately at one hour, you cannot miss visiting the town of Ponferrada, capital of the El Bierzo region, where you can see the Castillo de los Templarios, in which the traditional Fiesta de La Noche is celebrated in summer Templaria, which includes music, fireworks, street entertainment, and food tastings.
