La Morada del Molinero

Located on the bank of the "La Perihonda" river is this particular little house, in the town of Saldaña, Palencia province. It is a house blended with nature and the surroundings that will be more than pleasant to visit.

The name comes from its origin, since originally the house was intended to be the miller's accommodation. Currently it has been renovated and fully equipped so that you can fully enjoy your stay while maintaining all the natural charm of its location and all the comforts necessary for day-to-day life.

With a capacity for 3 people, it is made up of one room and the tranquility and fullness that you breathe when you open the small wooden windows will leave you surprised and will make you enjoy your much-deserved rest to the fullest.

At first, the most characteristic thing is that the house is accessed by a small wooden bridge over the river, which makes it especially peculiar. Inside we can find the following:

• A living room with all wooden ceilings and pylons of the same material made up of a pair of armchairs accompanying the television that adorns the room to sit and enjoy free time. Sharing the space is the kitchen, which is made up of a counter and all the appliances essential for your stay. A large window that occupies almost the entire kitchen allows sunlight to enter. It has a small round table to enjoy an intimate evening with your partner. It is worth highlighting the stove that helps heat the room on the coldest days, as well as the wooden cabinets with stained glass windows decorated with ceramic products, giving that traditional and rustic air.

• The double room is very cozy, with a large bed decorated with a headboard and a small lamp above it. The ceilings here are also made of wood.

• Everything in this house is cozy, and the bathroom could not fail to be either, which does not lack detail for what is necessary for the personal hygiene of each user.

• A very warm and fantastic atmosphere is the small "terrace" located at the back of the house where there are a couple of chairs and a table to go out to take in the fresh air or chat with your partner about the wonderful vacation you are having.

Being located in the middle of the mountains, the most popular activities will be hiking, trekking or mountain biking to explore the entire landscape. 

Although you can also choose to visit the surroundings of the complex, where you can visit the Roman villa "La Olmeda" or visit the town of Saldaña, which contain a great cultural and historical charm that will be difficult for you to escape. 

Different routes are available both through the swamps that surround the area and other types of routes of more historical interest, such as the romantic one of Palencia. You can easily do part of the Camino de Santiago and even climb the Riaño mountain to enjoy the views and landscape that surrounds you. 

A notable natural enclave are the Picos de Europa with their wonderful large lakes and swamps that bathe nature.
