La Casona de la Garaba

Our home is located in the Asturian mountains. It is an old house that has been rehabilitated to give guests comfortable accommodation in a rural environment.

The househas 2 floorsand you can come up to 14 people.

In the house you have at your disposal 7 bedrooms:

• A bedroom with a king size bed (1.80 m) also equipped with a television and DVD.
• 2 bedrooms with double bed measures 1.35 and 1.50 m.; one of them equipped with a television.
• A bedroom that has 2 single beds measuring 105 cm with a television
• 3 bedrooms with a pair of single beds, 2 of them equipped with television.

These bedrooms are decorated with black wrought iron, red wood furniture, white walls matching the bedding and full of natural light that comes through the large exterior windows.

We have, throughout the house, 3 complete bathrooms, all of them on the first floor, in addition to a room, type of toilet on the ground floor and serving the entire house. The former have a shower or bathtub and bidet as well as towel sets with our embroidered logo.

Other common areas are:

• We also have a living room on the ground floor. This is ideal for spending quiet moments in the armchairs, enjoying the heat of the beautiful stone-built fireplace. Additionally, in this area, you have a library cabinet, where you can choose some of your favorite books.

• A dining room on the ground floor with a large wooden table and chairs around it. In the colder months, you can enjoy meals in the heat of the fireplace.

• A living area on the first floor, with armchairs, television and games. In this place, the large gallery stands out, with huge windows, edged in wood, from which you can enjoy beautiful views of the gardens and the entire surroundings.

We have a kitchen and an office. Both areas are very complete, with different appliances. In each kitchen you have a table with chairs, where, if you want, you can sit down to have breakfast. Both have exits to the outside and beautiful views. You have appliances such as microwave, oven, dishwasher, etc.

Outside we have a large garden with its respective furniture, with a furnished porch and a barbecue to enjoy juicy meats.

If you come to our accommodation, you will be able to enjoy different Asturian places which, we are sure, will make you return. We highlight the following places:

• Different towns like Llanes, one of the best known in the Community. You have some stones on the promenade as a breakwater, shaped like cubes painted in different colors. You can also visit Cudillero, a fishing town, built on the slopes of the mountain. Other towns are Pravia or Cándamo, where we advise you to go see the caves in which the art of rock painting reigns.
• Another of the mythical Asturian places to see are the Covadonga Lakes. We recommend that, on the same day, you also visit the Santa Cueva de Covadonga, located inside a mountain that is accessed by stairs. It is a hermitage where people go to venerate the Virgin. Also, be sure to see the Basilica dedicated to Covadonga, patron saint of Asturias.
• Finally, you should enjoy Asturian gastronomy, where we highlight Cabrales cheese or fabada.
