El Viejo Pozo

El Pozo Viejo is a rural house located en work Abejar a soriana villa located in the region of Pinares.

In Abejar, a small town in Burgos with less than 400 inhabitants, you can visit these places of interest:

• The Gothic church of San Juan Bautista, built between the XVI and XVII centuries.
• The hermitage of Our Lady of the Way, from the s. XVIII.
• The ruins of a tower / watchtower of Moorish masonry, 3 m high and 1 m thick.
• The Mirador de la Atalaya, an ideal place to enjoy the views of the Urbión and Cebollera mountain ranges.

If you like hiking, we recommend the Cañada Real Soriana Occidental: part of a cattle track with more than two centuries of antiquity that crosses the municipality from north to south.

You can also visit the town of Calatañazor, which has been the scene of several films due to its historical-artistic set and its medieval atmosphere that has cobblestone streets, typical houses, castle tower and its corresponding walled courtyard. It is ideal to walk through its streets and enter a parallel world that invites you to dream of the Middle Ages.
