Description of El Sotámbanu
We offer our guests a rural house which is located in the small village of Arangas, belonging to the Asturian council of Cabrales, in the Picos de Europa.
It is a building of 2 floors that follows the traditional Asturian architecture (stone and wood), in addition to a covered porch (which in its day was the block) next to the main construction, with garden table and chairs.
We have capacity to accommodate 4 people in the 2 rooms that we have in the first floor (one has a double bed and the other is equipped with 2 single beds). Each room has a full bathroom and imposing viewpoints to the exterior.
On the ground floor we find a living-dining room (equipped with fireplace de firewood, a collection of XX during your stay.

We put at your disposal crib for baby (on request) and maps and guides of the landlords so that you can organize excursions and locate the most important points of interest.

village Arangas is at the foot of Sierra de Cuera la (its highest peak is the peak turbine ), a perfect place for bird watching like hawks o goshawks.
A few kilometers away we find el National Park Picos de Europa, part of the Cantabrian and consists mainly of forests de oak and beech and natural habitat of animals like brown bear, the deer, the boar, the grouse, etc.
in the region of Cabrales, include buildings of Romanesque and Renaissance, such as the Palace of Cernuda or Navariego Palace (both seventeenth century). It is also the place where the famous cheese of Cabrales (of blue paste and strong flavor) is made.
