Casa Rural Sierra del Solorio

In the Sierra del Solorio, an unusual juniper area in Europe, is this house in the town ofIruecha (Soria). It is a cobbled house that matches the architecture of the rest of the town.

It has accommodation for 8 people, in these different rooms:

• 3 bedrooms with 2 single beds each. Each one is decorated differently although they follow the same style line. They have walls painted in soft tones and wooden sloping ceilings. The floor is parquet. In all of them there is a closet, nightstands, and access to a small balcony or window.

• A bedroom with a double bed. This room is on the ground floor,designed for people with reduced mobility. It has a terracotta tile floor and a carved stone wall. On the sides of the bed there are two nightstands with lights, and there is also a built-in wardrobe with wooden doors on one wall.

• 4 bathrooms. They are private for each room and vary in design. They all have a shower tray installed, which has glass screens except for the room adapted for people with reduced mobility. In that we can find a low-height sink, as well as a toilet with support bars.

• Living room-dining room. It is a large space that occupies several rooms. The dining room is located next to the kitchen, and has views of the interior patio through large windows. The living room has a small area with sofas and armchairs, and in another room there is a long U-shaped seat with numerous cushions. Going up the stairs there is another small seating area.

• Kitchen. It is a small corner that shares space with the living room and dining room. It consists of a black countertop on white cabinets and furniture. In this there is an induction ceramic hob, oven, microwave, and on one side there is a refrigerator with freezer installed.

The house has a large interior patio with several levels, equipped with garden furniture. In addition, there is a small porch under which there is a barbecue and dining table.

Iruecha is a Soriano municipality that is nestled in the Solorio mountain range. The greatest attraction of this mountainous area is the juniper forest, in addition to the stony streets of the town.

Inside the town we can find some examples of civil and religious architecture, as can be seen in its San Juan Bautista Parish. It is a stone temple with enormous dimensions.

You can also visit a small Ethnographic Museum, whose exhibitions have more than 200 objects that help contextualize the professions of yesteryear.

In the surroundings there are several routes available for hiking and cycling, in landscapes as beautiful as the Paraje del Algondrón or the Sabinar del Jalón.
