- An interior courtyard with a small garden with grass flooring that contrasts with the old stones of the original foundations and the masonry with which its walls are made up. Ampudia, is, like the rest, a proud Castilian town with a rich historical heritage, as happens with most towns of a certain size in this area of Tierra de Campos. The visitor can especially conquer the visit to two of its greatest landmarks:
The Castle of Ampudia is a medieval fortress from the 13th century, of which most of its structures are preserved in excellent condition, with the exception of one of its towers that suffered attacks both during the Reconquest period, as in the damages derived from the passage of the Napoleonic troops and of course the passage of time has come to find its old stones on the ground. But its courtyard is perfectly preserved and the wall that composes it too. It is curious to see how in its lower part the accesses to the private wineries appear along the slope on which the main building stands.
Not disregarding the sacramental value of the works, but also not paying special attention to it, visitors can visit the Museum of Sacred Art in the town, where there is a large collection of carvings, pictorial pieces, and gold and silver work with eminently Christian motifs, coming from different historical periods.
