San Vicente de la Barquera is a beautiful municipality located west of Cantabria. The Cantabrian Sea extends to its green praderaa, corresponding mostly to the Natural Park of Oyambre. A fantastic place you can not miss:
- The Castillo de San Vicente de la Barquera, also known as Castillo del Rey. It is Spanish Historical Heritage and is used as a museum and exhibition hall but in its time it was part of the walled city that served to defend it.
- The church of Santa María de los Ángeles is a Gothic structure built during the thirteenth century. The surrounding wall is considered the pilgrims' door since there are many who approach it as they enter the town that is part of the Camino del Norte and of the Coast of the Jacobean routes. In 1931 it was declared Asset of Cultural Interest.
- The Cuevas del Soplao or the Oyambre Natural Park are just some of the natural wonders that you can enjoy with both children and couples. What you can not stop doing is eat a nice plate of bonito de the area on the beach, very typical thing in the place.
