Description of Hostería de Arnuero
This rural hotel is located in the small municipality of Arnuero, province of Cantabria, very close to the marshes of Santoña.
The inn is an old house of indianos, with room for 24 people, built in turn from a Cantabrian mansion of hidalgos, completely renovated and converted into a hotel combining traditional stone, wood and iron with modern comforts , and the family atmosphere of rural tourism.
The inn of Arnuero is divided into 12 double rooms, some of which can be extended to triple, fully equipped and decorated with rustic materials. The house has a special area for children, so that they also enjoy the stay in this place and allows pets.
The inn also includes a restaurant in which a cuisine based on natural products is served that tries to combine traditional flavors with modern cuisine, renewing them with imagination and originality.
Surrounded by a huge garden alternating green areas with stone flooring, the house is ideal to rest in the iron furniture located outside, do workshops for children or take refuge in a corner of green sitting on the rocking chair and contemplating the hydrangeas and camellias that populate the garden. The hotel is located in the town of Arnuero, a small town of 500 inhabitants located very close to the marshes of Santoña in which you can walk, both on foot and by bicycle, enjoying the tranquility of this mountain town. Arnuero is an inland town, however, very close to it is Santoña, coastal town famous for its anchovies, which has a small beach in the port and playgrounds for children. From the port of Santoña you can take a ferry to Laredo (or go by car from Arnuero), whose fine sand beach occupies a length of 4 kilometers and, being located in a bay, the waves are very soft and the tide it does not cover the beach.
Another nearby beach is that of Noja, not as extensive as Laredo, but also of golden sands and soft waves, in a town that is worth visiting.
