Casa Marta

The rural accommodation Casa Marta is located in the region of the Hermandad de Campoo de Suso, within the town of Fontibre, in Cantabria.

It is a cozy home for 4-5 people, with garden areas on the outside and, inside, a attic floor.

The stays are divided into:

• A complete kitchen in its entirety in which the floor has colored tiles and the ceilings are made of wood; extending its countertop to form a small bar to which we have added stools for a quick breakfast, for example, and which also serves as a separation between the rooms that communicate on this floor. It has a large window on one side and has both the complete appliances as well as the kitchenware and dishes.

• A living room decorated with great taste in which the main element is its wood-burning fireplace and, on its mantel, decorative floral motifs. It has several sofas and a central table that make a cozy and stately space. 

• A bathroom fully equipped and decorated with modern as well as rustic tones, using wood as a unifying element of these 2 climates. It has a shower and sink for personal hygiene as well as toilets in perfect condition. Includes the towel sets that our guests need during their stay.

• 2 bedrooms: one on the same floor, the double bedroom, with several bedside tables and lamps and, in the front area, a window from which you can see the views of the garden; Inside this room, some wooden stairs with access to the part of the attic where there is a 1.05m bed. The other bedroom, now, with two single beds together and a window with curtains that match the bedding.

The entire interior has a pellet stove, to make your stay in this house more comfortable.

The exterior is presented as the recreation area of the house, with a large garden with hammocks and chairs to enjoy the good weather of Cantabria.

sFontibre, inCantabria, is the area belonging to the Hermandad de Campoo de Suso region that houses one of the rural accommodations with the greatest amount of nature around it: Casa Marta.

The main tourist attraction of the municipality is the source of the Ebro River; This being an area of pure nature in which to discover one of the most important rivers in Cantabrian and Spanish geography.

Within this natural part that represents one of the most representative water formations in the country, there is amonument in honor of the Virgen del Pilar, on a stone column that emerges from the same waters of the river.

And of course, the nature that grows around Fontibre, due to the humidity, leaves several forests and meadows from which to visit the native species that are found growing throughout Cantabria.
