This rural inn is located in a place full of nature, in the birth of the Ebro River.
Under the name of Posada Fontibre is lucky to receive from the morning the sun that is responsible for lighting and heating our house, in addition, lean out the window and see the greens meadows, represent a harmony for all who visit us
Guests are greeted in a very bright patio with large windows that invite you to pass.
Once in the room, the large fireplace catches you and all its decoration, which is taken care of down to the smallest detail, make this space a common area muy cozy to rest with the rest of people. In the sofas you can rest and discover magical places thanks to all the variety of books and the documentation that we have.

We belong to the town Fontibre, within the region of Alto Campoo, in Cantabria. Due to our privileged location, in the north of Spain, we have a mountainous landscape and nature quite rich.
The natural space that surrounds us is headed by the Pico Tres Mares, mountains located in the Sierra de Híjar. When they are snowed they are a declicia. We can climb to the top of the peak and appreciate the valley, as well as see the ski resort and the mountains of Alto Campoo.
A few meters from our hotel, we can observe wonders of nature as the birth of River Ebro, and this may be the beginning of our walk, which may lead us to discover places like the Castillo de Argüeso. It is a medieval fortification that can be visited today. We recommend it since it has been declared an Asset of Cultural Interest.
A little further, at about 50 kilometers, we have important regions to which we can go, as is the case of Comillas or Cabárceno, characteristic natural park for having animals in semi-freedom regime.
